One day workshop on GST Accounting Procedure and e-filing  was organised by the department of Commerce on 18,August 2017. The workshop focus on GST  registration,input tax Credit, filing and e-returns etc.
In this Work shop 400 students participated, of which 249 from  different colleges in the City.  Manish Choudary,Tally Education,Bengaluru was the chief Guest and CA Lakshmana Rao,President- ISACA, T Malleswara Gupta BDM (Tally) were the resource persons.

The Department of Computer Science, P.B.Sidhartha College of Arts & Science had Organized a Two Day Faculty Development Program on “SQL Server Reports Service & SQL Server Analysis” on 14th to 15th July 2017.  Mr. Deepak Gupta, Technology Head, Train U Professional Technology Training Services, Singapore was the resource person. Gupta said that with the help of SQL Server Reports & SQL Server Analysis Software Tools, wide rang of information round the globe can be acquired. He also explained how to use the acquired information as per requirement of industries and institutions. About 25 Lecturers participated from various institutions.

Siddhartha College of Arts & Science, Vijayawada is proudly collaborated with ICT Academy as pioneer institution among general education colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh to acquire Institutional Membership in the august presence of Mr. Stanley George, Vice President-HR, Hexaware Technologies Ltd., Chennai for providing training and certification on cutting edge technologies in IT to the faculty and students. The single point agenda of this collaboration is bridging the gap between our institution and industry thereby producing job ready students with additional certifications.

A two-day workshop was organised by the computer science department of PB Siddhartha college of Arts and Science (PBS) on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning which started at the college campus on Monday(10.07.2017). PBS final year Computer Science students had participated in the workshop.

Technology head of TrainYou Professional Bangalore, Deepak Gupta was the resource person of the programme, he said that the industry needs advanced algorithms professionals in both machine learning and artificial intelligence. He said that there was a shortage of professionals in this field and students with good knowledge in advanced algorithms would have a bright future

University Grants Commission, New Delhi has granted Two-Day National Seminar on “Yoga for Health and Wellness” to the Department of Physical Education & Sports Science of P.B.Siddhartha College of Arts & Science, Vijayawada for the year 2017-18. This Seminar was organized on 7th & 8th July 2017 at Siddhartha Auditorium. Totally 104 Research papers received on Yoga and allied sciences. 200 Delegates have taken part in this National Seminar. The Seminar was inaugurated by Prof. S.Rama Krishna Rao, Vice- chancellor, Krishna University, Machilipatnam. Renowned personalities like Prof. R.Sadasiva Murty, Dr.K.Ramesh Babu, Dr.D.Jyothi, Dr.Tulasi Rao, Dr.K.N.Vara Lakshmi in the field of Yoga & allied Sciences attended as Lead Speakers & Resource Persons.

Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education observed  3rd International day of Yoga  celebrations in a grand way by demonstrating Common Yoga Protocol by gathering 1000 students and 200 faculty members gathered from 18 Siddhartha institutions on the forenoon of 21 june,2017 at P.B.Siddhartha College campus.
       
        Prof D.S.N Raju, Vice-President, Andhra Pradesh Yoga Consciousness Centre, Bhimavaram graced the occassion and enlightened the students on the essence of yoga in mechanical life prevailing in the society. He emphasized that yoga helps in achieving balance of thoughts and emotions, sustaining physical and mental health, effective digestion, sound sleep and enhancement of memory retention.He advised students to adopt all eight components of Yoga I.e Yama, Niyama, Aasana, Pranayama, Prathyusha, Dharana, Dyana and Samaadhi for experiencing external bliss.

        Yoga instructor Ms Sharmila Guided the students on various asanas and pranayama through demonstration.

        The Programme was attended by the President of Siddhartha Academy Sri. N.Venkateswarulu, Governing body members Sri. Muthavarapu Murali Krishna, Convernors of the college Sri N.Vinay kumar and Sri P.BheemaRao, Principals and Staff of Siddhartha institutions in a large number.
